The X3D Graphics Working Group is designing and implementing the next-generation Extensible 3D (X3D) Graphics specification. We are expressing the geometry and behavior capabilities of the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML 97) using the Extensible Markup Language (XML). This Web3D Consortium recommendation is being developed in cooperation with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and will become third-generation standard for 3D graphics interchange, again ratified by International Standards Organization (ISO).
Web3D Consortium member companies, individual professional members and open volunteers.
