Data Model Harmonization and Visualization Tools







The Inter-agency Core Data Types Working Group is chartered to define and develop core data models for use in cross-agency information exchanges.  A core data model is a data model applicable across more than one information domain.  To facilitate the rapid development of such core data models the group seeks information from vendors on tool support for data model harmonization and visualization.


Information Requested


Provide information on software tools to support data harmonization process as described in the following paragraphs.


Data Model Harmonization is the process of comparing similar conceptual and logical data models to determine the common data elements, similar data elements and dissimilar data elements in order to produce a resulting unified data model.  Some possible features of a Harmonization tool are:
